Centre for Eye Health employees on the path to PhD

Aug 22, 2014

Three employees of The Centre for Eye Health (CFEH) have been accepted as PhD candidates at UNSW and have also been awarded an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) and stipend grant from Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.
Agnes Choi, Angelica Ly and Nayuta Yoshioka begin their studies in late August and will be utilising the Centre for data and support for their areas of study.
“One of the major outcomes of the evolution of CFEH clinical operations has been the need to undertake research to support these endeavours” said Centre Director Michael Kalloniatis.
“The Centre has supported other PhD students in the past and it is fantastic that Staff Optometrists from the Centre have also joined their ranks”.

In addition to the trio from CFEH, the Centre is also supporting an additional PhD candidate Jack Phu.
